1. no sense - Baby Keem

Baby Keem starts off his 2021 in a big way dropping no sense which is a masterpiece in all senses. Over a calm beat, the LA rapper delivers charismatic bars that have been a blueprint to his songs throughout his career. Coming off last year's XXL Freshman spot, Baby Keem is a budding star and his involvement with Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free's pgLang has piqued everyone's interest. Hopefully we get a follow up to his 2019 classic DIE FOR MY BITCH this year.

2. Lemon Pepper Freestyle (feat. Rick Ross) - Drake

Rozay and Drizzy coming together deserve all our ears and attention. This combination has been doing it for almost a decade and got the chemistry of 07 Nash and Amare. Drake has pushed back his highly anticipated album Certified Lover Boy but has been looking out for his fans by consistently dropping heat. This 3 track EP had everyone talking and this cut was a standout with one of the best verses from the star. With the industry in his hands, we can't wait to get our hands on his next studio album.

3. No Mask - AJRadico

AJRadico is a new voice from New York that doesn't seem to miss. His smooth vocals carry you through his new 8 track EP Transit. This song off of the EP shows how much potential he has and how we have become big fans of his work in a short time. His use of different flows and clear melodies over the playful beat shows the audience how creative his artistry is. The EP has gems all over and we will continue to follow his growth into the upper echelon of east coast hip hop.

4. Lucky Me - Flwr Chyld & Sebastian Mikael

Flwr Chyld is becoming one of the most prolific producers in the game. His mastery of sound makes every one of his songs a sonic journey. He had a big 2020 by dropping Flow a 7 track project that saw him collaborate with skilled vocalists like Elujay, Mia Gladstone and Emmavie. His first song of 2021 sees him connect with talented singer Sebastian Mikael and the song is a beautiful composition. We will be waiting to see what the Atlanta producer does next.

5. Caution - KAYTRANADA

Every time KAYTRANADA puts out music is a moment to celebrate. His first single of 2021 sees him bring his unique sound to a whole new level. This melodic piece is the perfect 70 degree and sunny driving song. We hope 2021 is a big year for the Haitian-Canadian producer.

6. Talk to Me (feat. Drake) - Drakeo the Ruler

Drakeo and Drake is not a combination I expected but they put out one of our favorite songs of the year. Off his project The Truth Hurts, this track stands out and not just because of the Drizzy touch, Drakeo has one of his best couple of verses I've heard. The LA based rapper has all the potential and following to become a force in the industry.

7. LAZY (feat. SwaVay) - DESTIN CONRAD

Destin Conrad is another up and coming artist that has star written all over him. After he gained the attention of many with his single IN THE AIR, the singer put out his first full length project COLORWAY this March. This cut is a standout and sees him collaborate with Atlanta rapper SwaVay who is another up and coming star with respect from artsits like James Blake and Metro Boomin. This song is a perfect introduction to the pair.

8. Missing Out - Syd

Already one of the most respected artists out, Syd hasn't put much focus on her solo work but with the release of this song that might change this year. The Internet lead vocalist shows out on this song with her immaculate voice and intricate beat. This is a perfect breakup song and hopefully means there is more to come from Syd in 2021.

9. Voyager - Daft Punk

There might not be a more well known electronic act than Daft Punk. They have pioneered a style that has lasted over decades. The news of them splitting up shook the music world and everyone was devastated we wouldn't be getting anymore Daft Punk projects or performances. This song off of their highly acclaimed 2001 album Discovery is a beautiful composition that everyone can enjoy.

10. RED LIGHT - Future

It's March which means it's the month that Future owns. His song March Madness is the unofficial anthem of the month so it's only right we include this song on the playlist. Off of his 2018 mixtape BEASTMODE 2, this Zaytoven produced track is classic Future with his introspective lyrics and creative flows. We hope the busy star has another big year ahead of him in 2021.

11. Love Away - Ric Wilson

Ric Wilson is another budding star that has a very bright future ahead of him. The Chicago artist hasn't put out a full length album yet but we are all anticipating when that does drop. After EP's like Negro Disco, They Call Me Disco, and BANBA he is poised to blow up. His unique sound sets him apart from the pack and his multifaceted talent shines in every song.

12. Stay Flo - Solange

Solange is an artist that doesn't get enough love. After her 2016 breakout project A Seat at the Table, she garnered everyone's attention and proved that she wasn't just Beyonce's sister. This 2019 follow up When I Get Home is a soulful journey that doesn't fail to impress.

13. GLIMPSE - JAHMED & Freddie Gibbs

JAHMED is an artist that catches your attention right from the first song you ever hear of his. The LA rapper has an enticing way of mixing flows and comical bars to keep the listener on the edge of their seat. This song off his 2021 project ARMANI taps Freddie Gibbs to help out and the two make a perfect pairing.

14. THat Part (Black Hippy Remix) - ScHoolboy Q

ScHoolboy Q is probably the most consistent when it comes to releasing music from the TDE camp. Black Hippy is probably the most prolific rap group that never puts music out but this song is a classic. Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul and Kendrick all do their thing on this record. Hopefully we get some TDE music in this coming year.

15. Back Up Train - Al Green

Al Green needs no introduction. His influence is all over the music industry today. This opening song off of his 1967 album Back Up Train is a soul masterpiece. The legend has such a memorable voice that you could never forget whose record this is.
